Brimfield Sep 2011 Part 1-9

As of yesterday, Brimfield 2011, was officially over. This year I went in May, July and September. We continue to do really well with our vintage and antique business, and Brimfield is a great venue to find unique one- of- a- kind items. Usually I don’t know what I am looking for until I see it, but this year we went to Brimfield with a “wish list” of items certain customers are looking for!

Like in May, I also attended the “Tweet-up” which was organized by Cynthia of The Daily Basics, and Gretchen Aubuchon. It was sponsored by Aubuchon Hardware, GE Monogram, Company C, Pandora de Balthazar, and Benjamin Moore. The media sponsers were Traditional Home and Better Homes and Gardens.  Thank you, Sponsors, for such a wonderful event. I loved meeting and chatting with all of you, and meeting the other designers and bloggers at the event. I always love heading to Brimfield in search of treasures, and treasure the experiences and friendships that I meet along the way just as much!

Here is a re-cap of the week…

There are always unique pieces of Furniture, and other "stuff"...

I had the opportunity to meet Pandora, of Pandora de Balthazar European Luxury Linens. With over two million pieces in stock, Pandora is the largest collector and purveyor in this country of antique textiles from all across the world.
One of the products that Pandora is famous for is her patented Sleep System. The Sleep System is a collection of four Hungarian goose down pillows in different sizes that support and enwrap you for a luxurious night’s sleep. The assorted pillows are positioned to ergonomically help you rest in the proper position whether you are sleeping, reading, or just relaxing in your bed.

When describing Pandora’s collection, Quintessence, Living Well with Style and Substance, says it best on her blog:
“Pandora’s vast collection has it all. And whatever she doesn’t have, she and her team are willing to scour the marketplace for. What makes Pandora de Balthazár, the company, unique is their ability to redesign these pieces of history into every day luxuries for modern living, creating heirloom quality textiles and linens for both serious collectors and those who simply require the best. No detail is overlooked. If you can dream it, Pandora’s expert seamstresses can execute it, including beautiful monogramming that can even be duplicated from existing family heirlooms.”
At the end of the day, we live in such a stressful world. Isn’t it wonderful to know that we can retire to a bed that is a restorative, healthful, luxurious and a beautiful haven of relaxation? We all deserve to treat ourselves, and our homes, to this luxury!

I left Brimfield with the Sleep System Pillows, and I CANNOT wait to get home from vacation to try them out. I can picture them on my bed, and am looking forward to getting home and crawling into bed for what I am sure will be a wonderfully restful night’s sleep. Thank you so much, Pandora, for the gracious introduction to your product this past week in Brimfield. I loved meeting you, and am over the moon about my new pillows. Thank you!

Also, A special thank you to Jill Waage, The Better Homes and Gardens Editotiral Director who gave me their new book. I have been sitting on the beach in Nantucket reading and very much enjoying it!
Lots of great inspiration and tips!
