Take a look and stop in to see them!

J-class Yacht, Calm Sailing
Ben Wood started his career at the age of 21 following in the footsteps of his great-grandfather who ran a portrait studio in Baker Street, London. After a few years assisting photographers such as David Bailey and Don Freeman, Ben struck out on his own running a studio in Bleeding Heart Yard, London. Ben is best known for his signature sepia marine work but he has diversified widely since joining Trowbridge in 2003 and now has an impressive selection of work encompassing classic motor-racing, horse racing, landscapes and his highly successful shell series. Having moved out of London in 2000, he is now based at his studio in Bembridge on the Isle of Wight. Living on the island with its beautiful landscape and world class sailing at Cowes both inspires and informs his ever evolving portfolio. He exhibits widely and has recently shown his equine photography at Gallery 54 in Mayfair, London and the Apremont Polo Club in Paris, France

Underwater Swimming Paintings I cant get enough of featured by James Radin, and artists Eric Zener and Jamie Wayman

While looking through one of my favorite blogs this week, Cote de Texas I came across this picture of a bedroom designed by one of my favorite designers, James Radin.

The natural textured wallpaper is great... but what I have not been able to stop thinking about all week is the amazing UNDERWATER PAINTING. ITS SAFE TO SAY I AM OBSESSED WITH IT.
I have not been able to find a reference for the painting anywhere. Anyone know the artist?

I have spent the week looking into underwater swimming paintings and have found some I love, and some that are so detailed they look like photos. I would love to use one of these amazing paintings in a beach house. Take a look...

Back to the future

I just saw this on the blog deargolden, and thought it was pretty cool... Take a look

These photos are from a  photography project by Irina Werning, called Back to the Future. I agree with the original author that the detail is amazing and the way the people re-create their own facial expressions astounds me a bit. Hmmm... Do you have any pictures you think you could reenact? Lets see!

To the Beach -> (I wish)

Today, We spent the day unpacking and hanging new artwork... What do you think?
The sign below is hanging in the bathroom of three of my favorite little boys... One of which just discovered his teeth!
They are trying to decide on
either the white background, or the black... take a look and share your suggestion!
I vote for black, I like how it stands out against their walls...

Our new signs can be custom made with any words you would like. They can be ordered through the store, 203 344 1707 and they will be available on our website very soon.
